"Surah Al-An'am was revealed in its entirety in a single night, escorted by 70,000 angels whose glorification (tasbih) caused the earth to tremble. The Prophet immediately sat upright and said: 'Glory be to my Lord the Great.'"
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَجَعَلَ الظُّلُمَاتِ وَالنُّورَ
Al-An'am 6:1
In a coordinate system, there is one origin and infinite directions away from it. You can be wrong in an infinite number of ways; you can be right in only one way.
وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَسْتَمِعُ إِلَيْكَ ۖ وَجَعَلْنَا عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ أَكِنَّةً أَن يَفْقَهُوهُ وَفِي آذَانِهِمْ وَقْرًا ۚ وَإِن يَرَوْا كُلَّ آيَةٍ لَّا يُؤْمِنُوا بِهَا
وَهُمْ يَنْهَوْنَ عَنْهُ وَيَنْأَوْنَ عَنْهُ ۖ وَإِن يُهْلِكُونَ إِلَّا أَنفُسَهُمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ

The akinna is not a punishment that arrives from outside. It is the soul's own accumulated choices crystallized into permanent architecture.

Macroscopic Orbital Mechanics
The same verb fāliq (cleaver/splitter) is used for the splitting of the seed AND the splitting of the dawn. The Quran's architectural consistency is not accidental: the same divine action that cracks open the seed cracks open the darkness of night. Allah is the perpetual splitter of all binary states — seed/plant, night/day, death/life.

Verses 136-144 — Fabricated Law
"The Surah is named 'The Cattle' because human beings used livestock to invent fake religious laws. The Quran dismantles this legislative usurpation."
The Quran exposes the internal incoherence: they are more generous to their idols than to Allah. But more devastatingly — they are assigning shares ON BEHALF of Allah without divine authorization. They have become Allah's legislators, deciding what percentage of creation He receives back.
Bi-za'mihim — by their claim/allegation. Za'm is a word denoting a claim made without evidence, an assertion presented as established fact. The Quran punctures the entire religious-legal edifice of the pagan animal system with a single word: it is za'm — unsupported assertion masquerading as divine law.
The pagans decreed that the offspring of certain sacred animals — while still in the womb — was pre-assigned: if born alive, exclusively for men; if stillborn, both men and women could share in it.
This is the Quran's most severe characterization of religious law fabrication. Iftirā' is deliberate, knowing fabrication — not innocent error. 'Alā Allāh means attributed to Allah — the fabricated law is presented as divine command. The combination produces the most serious legislative crime in the Quranic taxonomy: manufacturing divine law from human desire and presenting it as revelation.
Verses 145-165
"Al-An'am is almost entirely Makki — revealed before the legislative Madani period. This means the Ten Commandments of V.151-153 are pre-Hijra, pre-state, pre-institution. They are the bedrock ethics that precede all law, not consequences of it."
